From a chemical point of view, TecBlu differs fundamentally from conventional additives: it does not alter the composition of the fuel in any way, but simply optimizes and completes the combustion reaction.
TecBlu can be used universally in all hydrocarbon-based fuels and naturally complies with current standards (e.g. EN590).
What is an EN standard?
EN stands for "European Norm." Among other things, these standards set universal conditions to ensure consumers receive fuel that is suitable for engines or combustion chambers.
While many conventional additives permanently alter the chemical composition of the fuel or combustion material or form new compounds, TecBlu does not interfere with the chemistry.
Although it is dosed like an additive, it acts purely as a catalyst: TecBlu temporarily participates in the combustion reaction and is released unchanged at the end of the process. As a true catalyst, it does not change the composition or properties of the fuel or combustion material—it only has a positive effect on the combustion processes in the engine or burner.
By improving oxygen binding, TecBlu enables significantly more efficient, cleaner, and more complete combustion. This leads to measurable benefits.
Combustion is a rapid reaction between a substance and oxygen that releases heat and light energy. Oxygen is the key to combustion. Fuel is a combustible substance that reacts (burns) with oxygen, thereby producing usable energy.

Less oxygen is available.
Oxygen (O)
Carbon (C)
Hydrogen (H)
Fuel burns incompletely when less oxygen (O) is involved in the combustion process than is required for the complete oxidation of carbon (C) to carbon dioxide (CO₂) and hydrogen (H) to water (H₂O). Among other things, this leads to the production of toxic carbon monoxide (CO).
The molecular structure of conventional fuel is tightly bound. This means that the hydrocarbons (organic compounds consisting of carbon and hydrogen) burn unevenly, as the available oxygen cannot react optimally with the bundled hydrocarbon chains. This results in higher fuel consumption, higher emissions, and reduced performance.

TecBlu
TecBlu breaks down the hydrocarbon chains (organic compounds of carbon and hydrogen), allowing for the oxygen molecules to bind with the hydrocarbon molecules and thereby resulting in much better combustion. The result is less fuel consumption, more power, and fewer emissions.
In addition to lower CO₂ and CO emissions, TecBlu also reduces the NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions generated at high combustion temperatures. NOx is formed at temperatures above 1,371°C. By increasing the oxygen supply, TecBlu causes the combustion temperature to drop, resulting in less nitrogen oxide.
