TecBlu is no ordinary additive.

From a chemical point of view, TecBlu works differently than other additives on the market: it does not alter fuel in any way, but simply allows for a more complete combustion reaction.

TecBlu can be used in all hydrocarbon fuels. Our catalyst complies with all applicable standards (e.g. EN590).

What is an EN standard?
EN stands for "European Norm." Among other things, these standards set universal conditions to ensure consumers receive fuel that is suitable for engines or combustion chambers.

How does TecBlu work?

TecBlu, as a bioorganic liquid catalyst, is only involved in the chemical reaction and subsequently released as is at the end of the process. TecBlu does not change the composition of fuel – instead, it has a positive impact on the processes involved during combustion in the engine compartment.

Combustion is a rapid reaction between a substance and oxygen that releases heat and light energy. Oxygen is the key to combustion. Fuel is a combustible substance that reacts (burns) with oxygen, thereby producing usable energy.

Hydrogen (H)

A fuel burns more incompletely when less oxygen (O) is available for combustion than is required for the complete oxidation of carbon (C) to carbon dioxide (CO₂) and hydrogen (H) to water (H₂O). Among other things, this leads to the production of toxic carbon monoxide (CO).

The molecules in regular fuel are tightly bundled, which means the hydrocarbons (organic compounds of carbon and hydrogen) burn unevenly as the available oxygen cannot react properly with the bundled hydrocarbon chains. This results in a higher consumption of fuel, poorer performance, and increased emissions.

Background with TecBlu

TecBlu

TecBlu breaks down the hydrocarbon chains (organic compounds of carbon and hydrogen), allowing for the oxygen molecules to bind with the hydrocarbon molecules and thereby resulting in much better combustion. The result is less fuel consumption, more power, and fewer emissions.

With TecBlu – Cooler combustion

In addition to lower CO₂ and CO emissions, TecBlu also reduces the NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions generated at high combustion temperatures. NOx is formed at temperatures above 1,371°C. By increasing the oxygen supply, TecBlu causes the combustion temperature to drop, resulting in less nitrogen oxide.

TecBlu reduces your fuel costs

By adding TecBlu to your fuel, you'll save money.

An example from the world of trucking: If your truck drives 100,000 km per month, and consumes 20 L of diesel per 100 km with the price of diesel at CHF 1.90/liter, then you can save up to CHF 3,000 per month.

TecBlu reduces your ecological footprint

Would you like to reduce your ecological footprint?

In addition to all benefits offered by TecBlu, we're also committed to planting one tree for every 1,000 liters of fuel treated with our catalyst. Example: If your company treats 200,000 liters of fuel, then we'll plant 200 trees.

How is TecBlu used?

Over the years, we've determined the best way to customize our products to meet the needs of different industries. We offer the right solution for every company.

These solutions range from single doses for vehicles to the fully automated I-DOG micro-dosing system for company refueling stations.

TecBlu can be used to optimize the combustion process of all hydrocarbon fuels:

  • Diesel
  • Biodiesel and biodiesel blends
  • Gasoline
  • Heating oil
  • Maritime fuels
  • Synthetic fuels
    (e.g. HVO)

Uses and dosage

1

Company refueling stations

Dosing by a fully automated micro-dosing system

TecBlu is added directly to the fuel at a company refueling station by a fully automated I-DOG micro-dosing system.

Concentrate for the dosing unit:
  • 1,000 ml dosing bottle sufficient for 200,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 200 liters of fuel)

Dosing bottles can be ordered directly via our quote form.

Manual dosing without a dosing system

You can also add TecBlu to your fuel tanks manually, using the dosing bottle when your fuel is delivered. This frees drivers from having to treat the fuel themselves.

Concentrates for the treatment of fuels:
  • 250 ml dosing bottle for 2,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 8 liters of fuel)
  • 250 ml dosing bottle for 10,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 40 liters of fuel)
  • 250 ml dosing bottle for 20,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 80 liters of fuel)
  • 250 ml dosing bottle for 50,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 200 liters of fuel)
  • 250 ml dosing bottle for 100,000 liters of fuel (1 ml for 400 liters of fuel)

Dosing bottles can be ordered directly via our quote form.

Heating oil

A dosing bottle is used to add TecBlu to heating oil tanks. We recommend adding TecBlu before filling your tank with heating oil to provide for a more uniform mixture.
