What is TecBlu?

A bioorganic liquid catalyst.

TecBlu can be used in all hydrocarbon fuels, including diesel, HVO, biodiesel (up to B100), gasoline, Super, Super Plus, Super E10, marine fuels, and heating oil. See our Uses & Dosage page to discover which of our products is the right one for you.

Is TecBlu authorized for use in fuel?

Yes, TecBlu meets all the legal requirements for additives for fuels (EN).

What is an EN standard?

EN stands for "European Norm." Among other things, these standards set universal conditions to ensure consumers receive fuel that is suitable for engines or combustion chambers.

Is TecBlu a "conventional" additive?

From a chemical point of view, no. As a bioorganic liquid catalyst, TecBlu does not alter the characteristics of the respective fuel in any way. Learn more here.

Is there a wrong way to use TecBlu?

The specified dose is important. If you underdose by more than 10%, this will affect your savings. Adding more than the specified dose will not cause damage or make the product more effective.

Can TecBlu damage my engine?

No. Customers from all kinds of industries have safely driven countless kilometers with TecBlu in their fuel tanks. TecBlu, as a bioorganic liquid catalyst, does does not cause damage to engines or their components.

Does TecBlu pay off?

How much does TecBlu cost?

A 250 ml bottle with a mixing ratio of 1 ml per 8 liters of fuel (for treating 2,000 liters of fuel) costs CHF 92.60 (CHF 0.0463 per liter of fuel) plus VAT and shipping.

How is TecBlu packaged?

TecBlu comes in a 250 ml or 1,000 ml dosing bottle.

How does TecBlu work?

How does TecBlu get into the fuel?

Manual adding

Transportation companies add TecBlu directly to their company fuel storage tanks. As a result, the catalyst is already blended with the fuel before their trucks fill up.

Fully automated micro-dosing system‍

TecBlu is added to the fuel directly during refueling by a fully automated I-DOG micro-dosing system.

For heating oil tanks, the product is added using convenient dosing bottles at the same time that oil is filled into the tank. Uses and dosage

Does TecBlu affect engine oil?

Only in a good way: TecBlu reduces sooting, which (among other things) is responsible for the formation of metal deposits in oil. TecBlu reduces metal deposits by up to 50%, resulting in significantly less wear & tear in engines between oil changes. This, in turn, extends the service life of the engine.

Does TecBlu affect the use of urea-based solutions (e.g. AdBlue®)?

Yes. Since vehicles use less fuel with TecBlu (optimized combustion), there are fewer harmful emissions to eliminate – thus reducing the need for a urea-based solution.

Does TecBlu lubricate engines?

No, this is not the purpose of the product.

Are TecBlu bottles recyclable?

We encourage you to return your empty dosing bottles to us. We will send them to our recycling service provider. Thank you for your cooperation.
